Here’s What’s Happening with the ISSRNC
Dear ISSRNC colleagues,
Here’s the latest.
- Happy news for some of us: The Cork Conference submission deadline is being extended to January 4th, 2019.
- Check the website (link above) for details on how to submit your proposal. The committee is looking forward to reviewing your panels, papers, and presentations. It’s always exciting to see the diversity and quality of work you all produce. Put it together and send it in!
- The Cork Conference planning committee is delighted to announce that our keynotes have been confirmed.
- Marianne Lien from the University of Oslo,
- Marion Bowman from the Open University,
- Siv Ellen Kraft from the University of Tromsø in Norway.
- Membership reminder and a question: Do check your current membership status and remember to renew! Membership includes your subscription to the Journal for the Study of Religion, Nature, and Culture [JSRNC].
- Here’s the question: we’ve typically run our membership dues through PayPal, but over the last few years members in some countries have had trouble using this service. If this includes you, please drop me a note and let me know what kinds of similar services are available to you in your country and we’ll try to find a way to make membership easier for you. Let me know!

- The ISSRNC Meet and Greet at the AAR last month in Denver was a success – photos went up on the @ISSRNC Twitter and Facebook feeds. Dr. Lisa Sideris and Dr. Sarah Pike presented their latest work and ran a roundtable discussion about publication. Dr. Sideris was a central feature at a number of the sessions as was ISSRNC Secretary Dr. Amanda Baugh. If you haven’t had the chance, check out their latest work:
From the ISSRNC Board, all our very best wishes for the season – whether it’s the beginning of winter, or summer, where you are. We look forward to hearing from you!
On behalf of the Board,
Mark
