Vote to elect new members of the ISSRNC Board
Dear Colleagues,
The 2019 election now is open. The candidates’ bios and brief statements are here, and the election will remain open until May 1, 2019.
Every few years a number of board positions open up and, as per society bylaws, we call for nominations and an election. Those nominations find their way to the executive committee which then pieces together a slate for your approval. Your nominations this year provided a slate of wonderful candidates. These are the folks who will determine the future direction of the Society and, more directly, the topics we will take up at the next few conferences as well as at our annual AAR workshop in North America. The executive committee and I thank you for your thoughtful contributions.
As you make your selections, please consider the Society’s commitment to gender, discipline, and geographical diversity. These seemingly abstract considerations have resulted in the effervescent interdisciplinary satisfaction–and fun–I continually hear expressed at our conferences. With that in mind, we look forward to your decisions.
We’ll have more details for you about the upcoming Cork conference in a week or so and, in the meantime, please accept my gratitude and best wishes on behalf of the Board.
Yours,
Mark
