ISSRNC 2019 Cork Conference Updates
Dear ISSRNC Friends and Colleagues,
Cork is coming up fast now and here are some last minute items the planning committee wanted me to pass along:
- Registration for the conference closes this week. We set a date of May 31st to make sure we can get the program into proper order in time to print it. If you have not registered, please do so immediately to avoid being dropped from the program.
- The latest, and we hope, final draft of the schedule is up on the website. Please go have a look, if you haven’t yet, to make sure your information is correct. We hope to have the printable copy ready next week sometime. (And many thanks to Kelsey, who has done an amazing job putting the print version together.)
- Please make sure you have registered for the conference by May 31!
- As we mentioned last time, some of the sessions are will require fairly brief presentations of your material (about 15 minutes) in order to facilitate questions and conversation — which has always been a priority for us. For the first time we have the website set up to receive your papers or abstracts should you wish to circulate you full work in advance of the conference. Log in to your issrnc.org account, click on Conferences > Cork Conference > Cork Conference Presentations. You’ll be able to find your session listed by time and panel. Read the FAQ and upload your materials.
This seemed like the easiest solution. It’ll also make it possible to continue your conversations after the conference in the discussion areas so please do have a look and upload your materials. (Since these are all safely behind the members’ login requirement, they are available only to other ISSRNC members.)
- Check into your accommodation requirements to make sure you’ll have a place to stay, as well as your travel connections into Cork (I’m flying into Dublin and taking the bus down).
- The hashtag for social media this year is #ISSRNC2019. Please include it in your social media posts.
- Remember to have fun.
