Alexandre Grandjean to receive Best Student Conference Paper Award
Alexandre Grandjean has been selected as the 2019 winner of the ISSRNC Best Student Conference Paper Award, for the paper titled, “Biodynamic Wine-crafting and the ‘Spiritualization’ of Agroecology: Case Study from Switzerland.” Grandjean will present this paper as part of the panel “Green Religions and Spiritual Ecologists: Empirical Insights from the Current Field of Sustainability and Religion” on Friday, June 14, from 3:30-5:00 PM.
Ben Bridges has been recognized as Honorable Mention in the competition, for the paper titled, “The Pachamama and Eucalyptus Dialectic: Religious Response to Invasive Species in Southern Peru.” Bridges will present this paper as part of the panel “Art, Myth, and Metaphor” on Saturday June 15, from 9:00-10:30 AM.
Grandjean and Bridges will be honored during the Banquet and Award Ceremony at the ISSRNC’s Religion/Water /Climate: Changing Cultures and Landscapes Conference (June 13-16, 2019 at University College Cork in Cork, Ireland).
